IERA Award 2024: Realtime Robotics Awarded for Optimization Tool

The 2024 “Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Robotics & Automation” (IERA) goes to Realtime Robotics. The US company from Boston won the prestigious prize for its fully-automatic motion planning tool for industrial robots.

World Bank Predicts 20% Economic Boost by Closing Gender Gap

Labor shortages hamper future economic growth worldwide. World Bank predicts that GDP per capita would be almost 20 percent higher on average if female employment were increased to be the same as men´s.

10 Women Shaping the Future of Robotics

IFR decided to give women in robotics more visibility and acknowledgment. This should inspire girls and young women to pursue a career in STEM subjects or robotics and will also help companies to reach gender equality and overcome shortage of staff.

U.S. Companies Invest Heavily in Robots - IFR Preliminary Results

Manufacturing companies in the United States have invested heavily in more automation: total installations of industrial robots rose by 12% and reached 44,303 units in 2023. Number one adopter is the car industry followed by the electrical and electronics sector. These are preliminary results by IFR.

Growing up, my fascination with automation stemmed from my father’s work in the field. Watching machines perform intricate tasks seamlessly was both captivating and inspiring. This passion for robotics has driven me to continually seek knowledge, ask questions, and embrace every opportunity to learn and grow in this profession.
As the Chief Innovation Officer (CINO) at KUKA AG, it is my role to drive technological advancements and foster innovation within the robotics industry. I see my role in making the company being able to deliver on innovation, meaning creating new ideas that are successfully brought to the market. 
I studied the robotics and automation specialization based on my father recommendation. My fascination with robotics began during my early days of existence in the university, as lines of code converged into intelligence. I found myself drawn to the intersection of hardware and software—the realm where machines come alive.
